A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Child opens with Alice Johnson (Lisa Wilcox) and her boyfriend Dan Jordan (Danny Hassle) enjoying their life after having defeated Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund), a murderous supernatural killer who haunts his victims through their dreams. However, Alice soon begins having disturbing dreams about Freddy's mother, Amanda Krueger (Beatrice Boepple). After Dan is killed in a traffic accident and her friends die in horrible ways, Alice realizes that Freddy is working his evil through the dreams of the baby she's carrying. Alice seeks the help of Amanda Krueger’s ghost to fight Freddy and reclaim her unborn child.
