Taking up where part three, The Dream Warriors, left off, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master follows Kristen (Tuesday Knight), Kincaid (Ken Sagoes), and Joey (Rodney Eastman) as they return to the everyday lives of teenagers: high school, friends, blossoming romance. But their respite is short-lived as Kristen begins to be plagued by bad dreams again. At first it is only a suspicion, but their worst fears come to fruition when Kincaid awakens in the trunk of a junked car. Finding himself in the salvage yard that doubles as Freddy Krueger's (Robert Englund) burial spot, Kincaid watches in horror as the razor-gloved boogeyman rises from the dead. With the return of Freddy, the surviving Dream Warriors again find themselves fighting for their lives in the realm of their own sleeping minds.
