Five years after the original film, a new family moves onto Elm Street. Their son, Jesse (Mark Patton) soon begins having nightmares featuring the hideous killer Freddy Kruger (Robert Englund). Jesse and his friend Lisa (Kim Myers) try to research Freddy's origins and discover the old decrepit factory where Freddy brought his victims, but this doesn't prevent Kruger from wreaking havoc on Elm Street and its inhabitants yet again. Freddy, no longer confined to the dream world, possesses Jesse, shows up at a pool party thrown by Lisa and things quickly start to "heat up." The movie comes to a head with an epic showdown at the abandoned factory.
